Last time I believe a call from the BBC

Two weeks ago the production team at The Weakest Link phoned to say the episode I'd been a contestant in was being broadcast today - Thursday, May 22, at 5.15pm on BBC1. Well, I've just watched the first five minutes and I'm conspicuous by my absence. Apologies to all those who tuned in hoping to see me winnning/losing/being humiliated [delete as appropriate]. I've no idea when the episode will be broadcast. Sigh. Can't even organise infamy.

I did see a David on there, but he was lacking any comedy facial hair and striking primary coloured clothing.

But at least the Sky+ gizmo worked!

This sounds like a conspiracy on the part of the BBC to boost the viewing figures.

To get as many people as possible tuning in everyday for your appearance.

I stopped watching when it became it was the Wrong David (Gromit).

Interested to see a chap in a wheelchair as one of the contestants, though - I didn't watch the show through but afterwards it occurred to me it might have been interesting to see if Anne Robinson hadn't given him the usual sort of s(ch)tick (which wouldn't really be even-handed) or if she had (which might look like some kind of prejudice or bullying). Just idle curiosity.

Anyway, schedulers, eh?

Yes I tuned in faithfully to see you and was disappointed too! You'll have to start watching them all and put a shout out if you see yourself on it :-)

And there was me thinking me from your email today that you'd lost. You jammy dodger.

Although your "Milky Way" answer will surely come back to haunt you... :)

Congratulations

Typical, didn't see today's, dammit!

If you are in the UK you can watch it on the BBC iPlayer.

Have watched now. Who's a clever boy then? Thought it was a bit unfair when they asked you about a safety campaign that stopped before you moved here though.

Congratulations David, although as you write sci-fi, I am going to have to mention the milky way.
