2000AD: Eight great covers by Jason Brashill

Back when I was a comics editor, I commissioned hundreds of covers. Jason Brashill was one of the artists I turned to most often, thanks to his gift for design and ability to respond to a brief. Here are eight of my favourites by Jason [apologies for the low resolution quality of the scans, borrowed from elsewhere online]. The first three are specific homages to Richard Corben [top], Frank Miller [just below] and the Gone With the Wind movie poster [next down], done at my behest. Jason was an accomplished story artist too, but never got the strips his talent deserved. He now draws at Valve near Seattle, where they create the likes of Portal and Half-Life. Nice work if you can get it!
